About the Artist

Nikolay Nikitovich Repin (Николай Никитович Репин) was born on October 25, 1932 in the village of Banishchi (Kursk Oblast). Currently resides in St. Petersburg, has been teaching at the I.E. Repin St.-Petersburg State Academic Institute for Painting, Sculpture and Architecture since the 60s of the 20th century. Represents the Leningrad school of painting, his style is realism, socialist realism. People's Artist of the Russian Federation. The works by Nikolay Nikitovich are now in the Russian Museum, in museums and private collections in Russia, Germany, Japan, France, Spain, Italy, China, USA and other countries.

It was essential to preserve the paintings dedicated to the Great Patriotic War in Russia, for this is the only place where their historical and artistic implication is fully revealed.

Exhibition «The Great Victory Day!»

On the occasion of its 25th Anniversary, the Gvardiya Security Agency organized an exhibition of works by the People's Artist of the Russian Federation N. N. Repin «The Great Victory Day!». The event was a gift for May 9th from the Agency to all inhabitants of Novosibirsk and was held jointly with the Pobeda cinema, hence the name of the exhibition itself.

In the «White Gallery» of the Pobeda Culture and Leisure Center (Pobeda TsKiO), guests could see nine paintings made in the realism genre and dedicated to the Victory Day. The Gvardiya Security Agency acquired the artist's works in order to preserve his legacy in Russia. Anyone could buy unique souvenir gifts as a keepsake.
